The stable block was built in 1768 by John Carr. From 1949 until 1974 it was used, as well as the house, by Lady Mabel College. In the grounds there are also the old college hostel buildings and Gym. These buildings as well some of the estate park are now used by the police to train their dogs, and the stable block is unused.
