The "Winkelsmühle" was founded in the 15th century. It was the first watermill for local agriculture and driven by the waters of the upper Düssel.
The capacity of the wheel and the generators is almost enough for 4 families. Sometimes the water levels are higher than the dam. Therefor there is a reservoit with communicating water ways on the upper side which were used as natural swimming pool.
Visit Instructions:
Please give the date of your visit and a brief description of your experience and any additional information you may have about the waterwheel, its current condition, etc. We would very much like at least one original photo from your visit, but it is not absolutely necessary.
