Quarry Hill is a 320-acre park that features a nature center, paved and dirt hiking trails, a pond, and a historical man-made sandstone cave. It is the premier environmental and outdoor education facility in the area. The land was the former location of the Rochester State Hospital (insane asylum) and was also used as an active quarry.

In the late 1960s a young man was said to have hung himself from this bridge. Hence the name Dead Man's Bridge was born. The story has never been completely verified, but the legend and name still survives to this day.
