These blue signs predate the Smokey Bear signs which dot the eastern landscape of the United States. This one is above 9 feet off of the ground. I cannot fathom where it was originally placed although I can surmise it has taken well over twenty years to get to its current state. The sign once encouraged people to call a phone number to the warden if they spot a fire. There is a cool geocache magnetized to the back of the sign (not sure if it is the back or front or both) called Road to Summer Blast.

Type of Tree: Hardwood
