Long Description:
The slippery channel this bridge crosses is an overflow outlet to the canal. The bridge dates to 1900 which is the era of the canal building. The Leicestershire and Northamptonshire Union Canal was bought by the Grand Junction in 1894 and became part of the Grand Union network.
