In 1751 Maria Theresa, sovereign of Austro-Hungarian Monarchy issued edict ordering that in every village must be present bell towers in case of fire. From these times there are almost in every village in Czech Republic at least the small "bell towers".
In Rabštejnská Lhota, a small village near Chrudim, stand a little wooden "Belfry" with small bell. It was built in 1865 and belongs among registered national landmarks.
