St.Peter's church is situated on Black Lane,Tankersley,South Yorkshire, S74 0DT. Tankersley is a small village near to Barnsley. The church dates C14/15 with later building 1881. The cut mark, which is badly weathered, is cut into the stone work a short distance above ground level and on the left corner of south face.
