This great design is the farm family’s original entitled “Highland View.” It is indeed “highland” as the 120 year old farm sits high above the road. The blue, yellow and green pattern incorporates the family “J” initial, and was constructed and painted by their friends in the Akron 4-H club. This quilt is best seen coming from the east as it is on the east end of the barn. The farm is on the north side of Hwy. 3, just east of Akron. The quilt is listed as # 9 on the Plymouth County barn quilt tour map
