The abstract form appearing in flight are within two circular bands representing a globe. The sculpture sit on top of a shaft which is sloped at an angle. The sculpture stands above a fountain.

The plaque below the sculpture reads:

"FLIGHT"
J. Lawrence Craig, 1935-1997

Dedicated to manned flight. Federally commissioned and displayed at the Plaza of Air Technology, 1965, in Hot Springs, AR.  Relocated and re-dedicated December 11, 2000 at Transportation Plaza.

Larry Craig was born and rased in Hot Springs.  "Flight" was created in his own foundry and was the first monumental bronze sculpture to be displayed in Hot Springs.
