Throughout the way, this trail temporarily follows the route of GRII E9 - "Rota do Cabo" Sesimbra - Almada, part of the "Caminho do Atlântico". This route has a steep slope so that, with adverse weather conditions, may present some difficulty. It is advised that a minimum of physical preparation and supply of liquids. Taking as its starting point plateau Cabo Espichel, the walker begins the descent to a flattened area, located in the extensive southern cliffs, which calls for geomorphologically "rechã", which by its geographical location and type of relief, offers unique landscapes. Along the way, hikers can see evidence of local history, as the Fort St. Domingos da Baralha, in close harmony with the natural landscape, including the various elements of geology, flora and bird site.
