14th Ohio Infantry Regiment Monument is located on Poe Road off of the Lafeyette Highway in the Chickamauga National Battlefield Park.

The monument is a rounded, rough-cut marker with a bronze relief plaque depicting a Civil War battle scene. The image of Major General George H. Thomas seen in left profile, in uniform including a wide-brimmed hat is in a round Medellin above a battle scene. The main body of the work is of soldiers firing at one another over a log fence in the center. There is an inscribtion below the battle scene.

On the rear of the marker is a circular State of Ohio seal. The marker is mounted upon a rough-cut, block base.

Inscription:
MAJOR GENERAL GEORGE H. THOMAS COMMANDING THE 14TH ARMY CORPS

This Regiment, Lieut. Col. Henry D. Kingsbury commanding, engaged the enemy early September 19th, 1863, on the right of the brigade near Jays salt meal in continued in action until the brigade was relieved about 11:30 A.M. Its loss during the day was twenty-nine killed, 137 wounded, and thirty-one missing. September 20thg in occupied this position until 12:00 M. when it was broken by the enemy renetrating our line to the right. It was not reformed as a Regiment; but detachments rallied and fought on Snodgrass Ridge till night. Total losses in the engagement, killed 35: wounded 167 cold: captured or missing 43.
