Patong beach is a bay devoted to sun, sand, surf and ... other things, on the west coast of Phuket island. As such it has a bevy of hotels, from those with cheap bare rooms for young folk, to elegant five stars for older and wiser people. One of the latter is the Royal Paradise Hotel, set back from the beach, reached via a semi-private road.
On this road is this rather attractive 'dolphin' fountain. Approximately 7m in diameter, filled with cavorting dolphins, and surrounded by water jets, it is a pleasant sight. Also surrounding the fountain are a bevy of massage shops, where an attractive Thai lady can massage away the aches and pains of the day.
