San Antonio Dam was constructed to aid in flood control for the city of Claremont.

The region has been subject to significant flooding, and the big floods of 1938 prompted the construction of this dam to prevent continued damage to the city and its residents. Construction was completed in 1956, by the Army Corps of Engineers. There appears to be no wikipedia entry for this dam, though other structures bearing the same or similar names exist.
