The gallery is located in 'old' Klang, which is an 'old' town of central Malaysia, approximately 35kms west of Kuala Lumpur. It is designed to showcase the life of the late local Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj, however, the range of artefacts and information presented deals with the overall history of the Klang/Selangor region of Malaysia, stretching back to the 18th century.

Inside the gallery you will find a host of painting, documents and general artefacts of the Sultan and his family, dating from 1766. The gallery was established in 2007. Certainly worth a visit.

The gallery has a strict no photography policy. The full name of the gallery is: Galeri Diraja Sultan Abul Aziz.
