Klang town is approximately 35kms to the west of the Kuala Lumpur (KL). Once upon a time it was a distinct and separate entity, but now it has merged into the urban sprawl of greater KL, however, it still retains its own local council, and its own train station.
This station is located in 'old' Klang, and was originally built in 1890. The station backs onto the river, and is not overly large. Clearly in need of a little care and attention, it is still in working order. The interior of the station is filled with ticket booths, a waiting area, and a small shop selling food and drinks. Only ticket holders can enter into the track area, which I was not able to do.
