Emperor Akbar built it to celebrate his victory in Gujarat. Later the Emperor moved his capital and Fatehpur Sikri became India's most splendid ghost city. Today it thrives again due to its inclusion in the UNESCO heritage sites of the world and the sacred tomb of Sheikh Samil Chisti, a Muslim miracle making holy man.

This city is called Victory City and used to be the capital of the Munghal empire at the time of Emperor Akbar. Due to the lack of water, the Emperor moved the capital and the site became a ghost city. It now thrives with tourists and pilgrims alike.
