This mile post is located exactly where it should be according to 1881 ordnance survey maps, but carries no engraving to indicate distances to key locations. It is however, so far as I am able to make out, having driven backwards and forwards, a mile from WMA2TM and WM97DH.
Baldock is a small town with a number of old coaching inns.
