The dial is big, red and round The carious months form an elliptical arc. You can use this "Analemmatic Sundial" to tell true solar time. You stand on or near the current month and face the direction of your shadow. The number on which your shadow falls represents true solar time. Depending on the season, true solar time may differ from the reading on your watch.
