In the middle of deep valley some 4 kilometers northwardly from Nove Mesto nad Metuji there is Peklo (the Hell in English), very small village. In Peklo there were two mills a century ago. One of them was rebuilt by the design of the famous Czech architect Dušan Jurkovic into the hiking chalet, at the beginning of 20th century. And if it is the Hell (Peklo) who else than devils must be here. These devils looks like in typical Czech fairy-tales, where the devil is very frequent "element". Horns, long tails, hoof are their typical signs. The fork and the big bag for sinners is, of course, indispensable equipment. The other devils are depicted on "gargoyles" of the hiking challet and favourite restaurant.
