The Hawkes Lookout is just off State Highway 60 approximately two thirds up the Takaka Hill on the Motueka side. The walk to the lookout takes 10 minutes and starts from the car park where there is a also a toilet. A well formed path, and in places wooden boardwalk takes you over limestone rock formations and out to a viewing platform. Here you are rewarded with panoramic views of the Riwaka Valley and Tasman Bay.
