This large brass globe is the signature symbol for the Mall of Asia, the largest mall in the Philippines. Similar in design to the Unisphere in New York, it is equipped with thousands of LED lights making for dramatic rotating light shows.

Acknowledged as the Mall of Asia's symbol, this globe is placed in a traffic roundabout at the entrance to the mall.
The Mall of Asia, reported by most sources as the third largest in Asia, officially opened on May 20, 2006, inaugurated by Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. On November 18, 2009, the globe was fitted with 26,300 LED lights enabling spectacular light displays, simulating a rotating globe, flags, Christmas lights, and other thematic displays.
