The hitching post is with 100 feet of the parking lot for the Mission. It would be so interesting to know if this post was part of the mission in the past, and also to know what important people had the opportunity to use or walk past this tool! I am sure thousands have passed it by without noticing it, or, it they did notice it, they may not know what it was used for.
