The Oklahoma Railway Museum is an outdoor museum which not only displays vintage locomotives, cabooses and other railway equipment, but also provides train rides, and special events. This is a museum well worth your visit.
As you enter the grounds, you will see this wood carving of a train conductor. It is life-sized, with the conductor standing on a tree stump base, approximately 18 inches high. He is dressed in the typical suit, vest and tie, and tall cap that we picture a train conductor wearing. He is carrying a lantern in his right hand. The carving was donated to the museum by the Oklahoma Centennial Commission in February 2006.
