This small helicopter pad is located just outside the Hegg Memorial Hospital emergency room doors. It was established at this location for ease of transporting patients between Rock Valley and larger health facilities to care for any serious needs of patients more completely. The citizens of Rock Valley are grateful to have quick and easy access to expanded health care.
The windsock is located on the roof of the hospital just above the Emergency Room entrance. The fenced in pad is bordered by a row of trees and lighted when needed at night. The cement surface has an H painted in the middle and the hospital name painted on the edge.
