With stunning scenery, friendly service, free big screen movies and a choice of sailings every day between Wellington and Picton – there’s no better way for you and your vehicle to travel Cook Strait.
Launched in 2003, Bluebridge sails every day between New Zealand’s North and South Islands. With a journey time of three hours and 20 minutes, the Bluebridge experience offers warm, friendly ‘Kiwi’ hospitality amidst stunning New Zealand scenery.
The Bluebridge service currently operates two passenger ships between Wellington and Picton, the Santa Regina and the Straitsman which joined the service in December 2010.
The vessels sail up to four times a day between state-of-the-art terminals in central Wellington and Picton.
The Bluebridge service provides a very comfortable environment for passengers, but also caters for the freight market through its parent company Strait Shipping, carrying large volumes of all kinds of cargo, including sheep and cattle, between the North and South Islands.
