The choice of the log cabin design is most appropriate for this barn quilt as the farm house has been built with log construction. The earthtones work well with the rust contrast on this newer storage barn, and the large quilt attracts attention even from a distance. The farm is on the south side of Hwy 18 a few miles west of Spencer, and the barn faces north.
Your Visit:
We were heading west on Hwy. 18 after a wonderful day waymarking at the Iowa Great Lakes. Always on the lookout for barn quilts, I spotted several on this main route.
