This Yahoo group is for geocachers in the Hampton Roads VA area, and anyone else who might regularly come to these areas to search for geocaches, regardless of where they actually live. The seven primary cities in "Hampton Roads" are Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach.
This group is meant to discuss the topic of local Geocaching, as well as plan get-togethers and other caching related activities.
If you are new to geocaching, log on and ask questions! We have many friendly, helpful members who will be more than happy to share their knowledge and time, or to meet up to go geocaching!
Feel free to post and share with other local geocachers your experiences finding caches, your travel bugs, favorite sites, and future events, and have fun getting to know other cachers in the area!
Membership is open to all. The only "restriction" is that we do require that all members provide their GEOCACHING NAME and LOCATION to be approved for membership. (You can put this in the notes when you apply for membership OR when you choose to join, you will be sent a short introductory email to fill out and return.)
