This statue of a young girl reaching skywards for a butterfly is located next to the entrance to the Nashville Community Center in “Connie’s Children’s Park” on E. Marion Street, across from the Courthouse in Nashville, GA. The girl is dressed in a knee length skirt, her left arm is extended upwards and a butterfly stands on her finger with its wings extended. She carries a basket on the right arm.
The park is named for Connie Perry, the first women mayor of Nashville. The park was dedicated on March 5, 2009.
