This memorial is in the memorial garden on Norfolk Gardens down the side of the City Hall. It is on the near side of the small garden, near to some police memorials.

Tasawar witnessed a gunman rob a security guard collecting money from a travel agent. His friend drove a car following the gunman, whilst Tasawar as the passenger called the police. The car they were chasing stopped, and when Tasawar got out of the car the gunman shot him dead.

He was posthumously awarded the Queens Commendation for Bravery. This is awarded for acts of bravery entailing risk to life and meriting national recognition. It takes the form of a silver spray of laurel leaves.

The inscription reads
