Gardner Cemetery is located approximately 2 miles north of Wellston. From Wellston, travel north of 3330 Road one mile, then east on 990 one mile, then north on 3340 one mile. The cemetery is located on the southeast corner of 890 and 3340.
This is a small, rural cemetery without a name showing at the entrance. It has not been mowed in quite some time and was overgrown. Many of the headstones here are homemade.
Caroline Crocket was born in 1814 and died in 1917 at the age of 103. This is quite an amazing feat, as in the year 1917, the life expectancy for a woman was only 54 years.
