"In 1997, a Record story about the bridge's 70th anniversary referred to the renaming of the park on the west side of the bridge in honor Clarissa Anderson Gibbs, the daughter of Dr. Andrew Anderson. In 1986, Gibbs donated the funds to create two arbors on the west side."
