This land was the site of the Tokyo-area estate of Nanbu Minonokami, samurai lord of the former Morioka Domain, from the time Edo Period until 1896.

The park is fairly large, on a hill, with multiple activities to do.

The playground itself has a variety of structures and seems to always have many kids playing. It has swings and a large cubical climbing structure. There is also a separate toddler play area that is full of tree leaves and smaller structure.

The park seems to have a festive attitude with joyful people around and kids having fun.

Other activities to do are to walk around on the many hiking trails or look for geocaches.

There is an international grocery store immediately across the street from the park and next to the German embassy.
