Originally known as the Oxford Bar, it eventually became Lucille's Cafe, before being renovated as the Oxford Resort in 1999.

From the nomination form: "Lucille's Cafe NW 4-l-A Main Street — Stone, Brick and Stucco building. Facade added in 1961. Eff. age: 1893. Significance: Contributory — Served as the old Oxford Bar owned by James Crooks. Also built after the 1893 fire of stone and brick. The building's facade was significantly altered in 1961."

From a small plaque on the building: "OXFORD RESORT - Built in 1893 as a saloon. "In the 20th century much fun was had in this building" Special thank you to those that contributed to this renovation, physically and financially. August 1999"
