The statue sits in Portsmouth Square in Chinatown. The plaque reads that it's "dedicated to those who strive for and cherish human rights and democracy." The goddess is dressed in a toga, holding a torch with both of her hands.
The statue is a replica of a statue made of foam by students during the Tiananmen Square Massacre in 1989.
