J.A. Mahoney was an early pioneer businessman in Deming. Arriving in town in the 1880's, we began his business career, and in 1912 erected this building, said to be one of the finest in the state at the time.
Constructed of brick and reinforced concrete, with glass block skylights in the sidewalk, it is an excellent example of art and function enduring in a small town.
