Nez Perce National Historical Park includes thirty-eight widely separated sites in four states - Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Washington. The park includes historic villages, battlefields, and legend sites of significance to the Nez Perce.

Tolo Lake is the largest bocy of water on Camas Prairie and was an ancient rendezvous site that the Nez Perce used for gathering camas root and meeting with neighboring bands. This site was also important in the Nez Perce War in 1877 and an important paleontological site.
