William Finch followed his father and many previous Finches at The Bull in 1595. Kept by John and Thomas Gray in 1633 and then as a wine Tavern by Prudence Miles. John Tyler bought the inn in 1713 and it was kept by William Fish.
It could accommodate 80 horses in the stables. AP and OH Mc Mullen Bought the inn in 1897. Joseph Stevens and then his widow Catherine were licencees. John Keats was a friend of their son Dr Henry Stephens and he sometimes stayed at The Bull
