The village sign is located in a green area just above the ford. The sign, made for the millenium is cast in bronze and is the work of local artist Lottie Farnham. The bronze sign is fixed to an hexagonal stone plinth which is surrounded by a seat.
The bronze sign carries a scene of the village street with the church at its centre, a locomotive and a stage coach, and villagers going about their daily lives.
