This historical one room school was built sometime in the late 1800’s and provided education for children near Moville, south of its present location. After it closed in 1956, it was moved to Copeland Park in Correctionville until floods threatened its safety. It now sits next to the Northwest AEA on the Hwy. 3 bypass in Cherokee and serves as a museum and living history center. Children may wish to participate in the occasionally scheduled classes to learn about their educational heritage.
The bell in the tower came from a local Cherokee county schoolhouse, and there is also a small privy on the grounds. The facility is handicap accessible.
