The Oregon Short Line Railroad Depot is located at 300 Depot Lane.
The community of Ontario was established in 1883 in anticipation of the arrival of the railroad and a small depot was constructed. The rail service by the Oregon Short Line Railroad (a subsidiary of the Union Pacific Railroad) begon on Jan. 1, 1884. The current Romanesque Queen Anne style depot was built in 1907 of sandstone and brick.
