This 1948 airplane now hangs in the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum after have flown many hours over pipelines while the pilots looked for leaks.

Used for many years looking for leaks in pipelines, racking up some 20,770 flying hours and covering more than 2 million miles in the process. It now hangs in the Petroleum Museum with a diorama spread out before it depicting the Permian Basin country it knew so well.
