This is a rune stone on the Bankeberg farm in Vikingstad, close to Linköping. The stone is located close to a road, but in order to read it you have to cross a field. This means that you should not walk up to the stone when there are growing crops.
The stone was found in 1910 north of the road, and was raised at its present position a few years later.
The text on the stone is "þulkR uasuek sin þaosi ifuiR airku k" but the meaning of this is not certain. The sign next to the stone says that one possibility is that the carver of the stone misspelled a lot; another is that some kind of code was used. There are several attempts at interpretations but none of them is convincing.
The stone was originally carved sometime around year 1000.
