Located at the end of Lee Drive in the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania Battlefield Nation Park, this trailhead allows a choice of road biking or walking and trail hiking.

The Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center is located at 1013 Lafayette Boulevard. One-half mile south of Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center is the entrance to Lee Drive. This is a five mile driving tour following the Confederate line of trenches and artillery emplacements. Along the way are maps, paintings, and exhibits describing the action that took place in this part of the battlefield. This trailhead is at the southern end of Lee Drive.
The Lee Drive hiking trail is approximately 5 miles long, roughly paralleling Lee Drive.
