The bay window at the entry of the Pioneer United Methodist Church tells the story of the gospel through colorful symbols of the Christian faith presented in five panels. Such images include: (1)Jesus’ birth in the manger, (2) His dedication as an infant, His work as a carpenter as a youth, and His teaching of the scriptures as a young man, (3) His baptism as portrayed through the symbol of the shell and the blessing of the Holy Spirit (dove) upon his ministry, (4) His crucifixion on the cross, and (5) the keys of the Kingdom presented to the apostle Peter, and the sailing ship representing the Church that continues that ministry.
The window was installed when the present church building was built in 1964.
