County of Gazebo: Dickson County
Location of Gazebo: N. Court St., courthouse lawn, Charlotte
Civil War activity very high on this court square. Union occupied, but area Southern sympathies. Confederate partisans, and Col. Nathan Bedford Forrest raided and destroyed the railroad supply trains
The lawn is supported in the south end by a wall, which still has the horse/carriage hitching pins mounted into it.
city hall and post office also on the square.
