When this bridge was first constructed, it was associated with a local distillery owned by the Kauffman family near the village of Sporting Hill.
The bridge was also known by the names, Sporting Hill Bridge, Whiskey Distillery Bridge and Big Chickies Bridge.
This bridge has vertical board and batten siding with a shake roof.
