This is a really fun sculpture and I love the action shown by the artist! The young boy is pushing the girl who is sitting inside a tire swing. Both kids are barefoot. The boy is wearing light blue overalls, a dark short-sleeved shirt, and a dark baseball cap that is facing backwards. The girl who is wearing slightly darker blue overalls, with a dark shirt. Her hair is secured in a ponytail by a white ribbon. The girl points one leg up, the other hangs down, showing motion as she is being pushed in the tire swing.
This piece looks so realistic from a distance and the colors just add to the realism! This piece of art is on Boulevard, just south of Danforth. It is by a very large tree (which aids in the appearance that this is a real boy and girl swinging), by a curved sidewalk and bench, on the west side of Bradford Village Retirment Community.
