This lodge building is one of the oldest in Colorado. The painted plaque reads:

MASONIC TEMPLE

This temple was the cradle of masonry in the Rocky Mountains

This building was erected in conjunction with the Register Call, the third story was added for Masonic Rites.
The famed murals painted by candle light in the 60's are still preserved, and this site is revered by Masons from all parts of the world who make annual pilgrimages to Central City.

Photographs of the inside of the lodge may be found at (visit link) .
