This waymark was found on the Norwottuck Rail Trail while biking. It is located in Hadley, right off the trail by an air and water station. The Rail Trail is built on what used to be the Central Massachusetts Branch of the railroad. The railroad was constructed in 1887 by the Central Massachusetts Railroad Company. Passenger service continued until 1932 and freight service continued until 1979. The property was acquired by the Department of Conservation and Recreation in 1985, and the trail was developed in 1993.
