Situated on the coast, ~20km to the north west of the city of Perth (capital of the State of Western Australia), part of Hillarys Boat Harbour (which is itself a major tourist spot), is AQWA (Aquarium of Western Australia). This is the largest underwater world experience in the State, and a destination for local and foreign tourists alike.
The structure of AQWA is somewhat standard. The main feature is a 98m underwater walkway through a large aquarium (3,000,000 lt). The aquatic fauna are those of the Western Australian coast. There are also a host of ancillary exhibits and features, including: scuba diving, school excursions, talks, lectures, films, and a gift shop. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.

Hours of operation: Mon-Sun: 10.00-17.00
